White House Condemns 'Democrat Hoax' as Further Jeffrey Epstein Photos Made Public
Democratic lawmakers have made public a fresh batch of what they labeled "alarming" photographs from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, including among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The first release of 19 images—some of which have been seen before—plus another 70 released later on Friday constitute a tiny fraction of the nearly 100,000 images released to the House investigative panel, which is probing the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The disgraced financier died by apparent suicide in a New York detention cell in 2019 after being accused of sex-trafficking charges.
High-Profile Individuals in the Photos
Included in the prominent personalities visible in the opening set are well-known figures featuring film director Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, creator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Response
The White House responded to the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the pictures for partisan aims and to "try and create a false account."
"This Democratic fabrication against President Trump has been consistently disproven," a presidential representative remarked, asserting that "this presidency has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding transparency, making public thousands of pages of documents, and demanding further investigations into Epstein's liberal connections."
Panel Member Remarks
The images were released without context, but per a California Democrat and ranking member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's connections to affluent people.
"The moment has come to halt this White House concealment and bring justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he declared in a statement.
The release of these materials occurs alongside the oversight committee pressing on with its probe into the affair.
