The New Animated Series' Introductory Sequence Selected the Wrong Popular RPG Show Track

The Mighty Nein, the newest animated adventure from Critical Role, unveiled an exciting introductory sequence. It showcases the beloved cast of misfits, misfits, and criminals kicking ass and making their mark, while also hinting at several agonizing personal histories for characters such as Liam O'Brien's mage Caleb, and Travis Willingham's orc warlock, Fjord.

All in all, the opening looks amazing. However, I felt that something was lost in the music selection.

This sequence employs "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional composition composed by artist the talented musician. This piece originating from the soundtrack album of that title, the second release put out by the production company's record label their music brand. It's a great sentimental choice, and I believe that fans of the second campaign will love its presence.

Personally, The series' intro fails to capture the hype and energy that was part of the show's live-play sessions. "It's Your Turn", composed by singer-songwriter the artist, was an instant classic in my view when it was first revealed in that year, and it only got better when co-founder the performer wrote words to the melody for the series' animated intro in 2018.

Including singing from Ashley Johnson, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, as well as Riegel himself, the track was memorable and fun. Back then, I hadn't even watched the follow-up series yet, but it was so infectious that I kept it on my device. This track that knows how to get you pumped before you start an installment of adventurous fun.

The Mighty Nein's intro with "the new song" doesn't strike the same chords in my opinion. It's an impressive piece of music, but from what I know of the group, I feel that its tone is somewhat mismatched.

Naturally, Critical Role has already said that the series will have a few changes and differences from the actual-play campaign. An adjusted mood for its intro appears as among these.

The Mighty Nein will be available to watch on the streaming service from Nov. 19. If you can't wait until then, or wish to prepare to learn about the characters of Critical Role's Campaign 2, the original episodes are available on the audio platform and YouTube.
