Our Task Consists of Exclusively Killing' - The Way The Sudanese Vicious Fighting Force Perpetrated a Atrocity

Combatants smirk as they ride on the back of a utility vehicle, hurrying alongside a line of multiple dead bodies and driving facing the sinking African evening sky.

"Look at such accomplishment. Look at this act of genocide," a fighter shouts.

The fighter grins as he directs the recording device on his own face and his companion combatants, their RSF insignia clearly shown: "The victims are all going to die in this manner."

These individuals are exulting in a massacre that aid workers fear killed more than two thousand individuals in the Sudanese urban center of al-Fashir during October.

An Urban Center Isolated from the World

Having held the city under encirclement for almost two years, from late summer the paramilitary force proceeded to reinforce its control and blockade the surviving inhabitants.

Satellite images demonstrate that troops commenced to construct a enormous sand wall - a raised earthen wall - encircling the boundaries of al-Fashir, blocking roads and blocking relief supplies.

While the blockade worsened, 78 individuals were slain in an militia strike on a religious building on mid-September, while the UN reported dozens more were murdered in aerial and cannon attacks on a refugee settlement in October.

Satellite images captured on late October seemed to confirm that shootings were also performed on the streets of al-Fashir, as reported by a study released by the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab.

One witness who spoke stated they had witnessed "multiple of our family members being executed - they were gathered in a specific area and each one eliminated."

Militia Commanders Attempt to Carry Out Public Relations

Following the events that followed the atrocity, paramilitary leader conceded that his forces had committed "atrocities" and announced the events would be investigated.

Among those apprehended was subsequent to a report recording his killings. Carefully orchestrated and modified recording posted on the RSF's official Telegram channel depict the individual being taken into a prison room at a detention facility on the perimeter of al-Fashir.

At the same time, the RSF and affiliated social media profiles started seeking to reframe the story.

Posts presenting its combatants providing assistance to civilians were circulated by some users, while the militia's media office released numerous clips purporting to display the humane treatment of army prisoners of war.
