An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
